This unusual structure created by Daydreamers Design was built out of recycled (reused) polycarbonate water bottles. The pavilion called Rising Moon is inspired from traditional Chinese paper lanterns and is a representation of the shining globe that inhabits our nightly sky. The structure sits on top of reflective pool, allowing the plastic moon to project a complete sphere from the outside. It was a key attraction during the 2013 Hong Kong Mid-Autumn Festival, which has been celebrated for hundreds of years. The pavilion also got some deserved recognition at architectural contests.
